Memory in Black and White

thepeterfalklands:

Very very cool, rare find.  A kinescope episode of the short-lived series, The Witness, in which an actor playing a real life historical figure (usually a person who is believed to have engaged in criminal activity) is questioned by a team of attorneys with witnesses called to testify.

Here, Peter Falk plays gangster Abe “Kid Twist” Reles, the same character he played in Murder, Inc.  The movie was released on June 28, 1960 and this episode aired on December 22, 1960.  This episode goes into a bit more detail with certain facts than the movie.
